Jose Angel Canizares Fernandez has a strong background in geospatial analysis, natural hazards, and catastrophe risk assessment.In his current position as Climate Risk Manager at BBVA, he is working on climate physical risk to meet regulatory expectations and expanding climate risk analysis capabilities. Previously, his professional career has been developed between London and Madrid, where he held jobs in reinsurance and geospatial data startup.
Before their industry roles, he pursued an MSc in Geophysical Hazards at University College London and Bachelor Degree in Geography at University of Alicante. Additionally, he has attended courses in remote sensing at ESA in Frascati and Remote Sensing Disaster Response at UNITAR in Geneva.
