Holger Krag has been a Space Debris Analyst in the Space Debris Office of ESA/ESOC located in Darmstadt, Germany, since 2006. He has worked on the operational conjunction event analysis for various ESA missions, debris risk assessment, mitigation analysis and the Surveillance and Tracking Segment of the European SSA (Space Situational Awareness) system. Since 2014, he is Head of the Space Debris Office. He represents ESA in the IADC (Inter-Agency Debris Coordination Committee) and is also engaged in Surveillance System developments. He lectures on space debris at the TU Darmstadt and the ESA Academy. Since 2019, he is the head of ESA’s Space Safety Programme Office, that covers the Agency’s Space Debris, Cleanspace, Space Weather and Planetary Defence Activities in a single programme.
