What is Galileo & Copernicus Innovation Challenge?

Galileo Satellite Positioning System is the only civilian-based military-independent global navigation satellite system (GNSS), developed by the European Union. It provides better accuracy and a multitude of open and commercial services to bring more value for every citizen.

Finnish Transport and Communication Agency Traficom invite you to develop innovative applications utilizing the enhanced performance of Galileo in three tracks:

What?

What is it all about?

The European space programmes offer data and services for many applications at the benefit of society without the need for rocket scientists. The Galileo & Copernicus Innovation Challenge will bring together anyone who wants to make a change with space data: If you are a software or mobile developer, graphic or interface designer, GNSS or EO expert, project manager or thematic expert for emergency response, then this is the one and only hackathon to participate.

Prizes

Cash prizes in total 16 000 €
One-to-one coaching for preparing an application to ESA Business Incubation Centre Finland (BIC position worth 75 000 €) Business collaboration and recruiting opportunities with challenge partners.
